ONV Launches H53000 Series Gigabit Easy Managed PoE Switches: A Lightweight Management Solution for High-Bandwidth PoE A
[Abstract]:
With the development of HD video surveillance, Wi-Fi 6/6E wireless access, video conferencing, and smart terminals, bandwidth requirements on the access side continue to increase. Although 100M access can still meet the needs of some PoE terminals, full Gigabit access is gradually becoming a more reliable choice for high-resolution video, multi-terminal concurrency, and future expansion.

ONV launches the H53000 Series Gigabit Easy Managed PoE Switches, covering multiple specifications from 4-port PoE to 24-port PoE:

u ONV-H53054PFDM: 4*Gigabit PoE ports + 1*Gigabit RJ45 uplink port + 1*SFP fiber port, built-in 65W power supply;

u ONV-H53064PFDM: 4*Gigabit PoE ports + 2*Gigabit RJ45 uplink ports + 1*SFP fiber port, built-in 65W power supply;

u -ONV-H53108PFDM: 8*Gigabit PoE ports + 2*Gigabit RJ45 uplink ports + 1*SFP fiber port, built-in 100W power supply;

u ONV-H53016PFDM: 16*Gigabit PoE ports + 2*Gigabit RJ45 uplink ports + 1*SFP fiber port, built-in 250W power supply;

u ONV-H53024PFDM: 24*Gigabit PoE ports + 2*Gigabit RJ45 uplink ports + 1*SFP fiber port, built-in 250W power supply.

The key words for this series are: Gigabit access, 30W per-port PoE, Easy Managed lightweight management, and cloud platform and mobile APP O&M.

1. Gigabit Ports for Higher-Bandwidth Access

Unlike the 100M access of the H51000 series, the PoE ports of the H53000 series all support 10/100/1000Base-T auto-sensing. This means the access side is no longer limited by 100M bandwidth, making it more suitable for the following terminals:

u Wi-Fi 6/6E wireless APs;

u High-resolution IP cameras;

u Video conferencing terminals;

u Smart devices requiring Gigabit access;

u PoE terminals that may require bandwidth upgrades in the future.

The uplink side also provides a combination of Gigabit RJ45 and SFP fiber ports. Taking the ONV-H53024PFDM as an example, it provides 24 Gigabit PoE ports, 2 Gigabit RJ45 uplink ports, and 1 Gigabit SFP fiber port, with a switching capacity of 54Gbps, a forwarding rate of 40.18Mpps, an 8K MAC address table, 4M buffer memory, and 15K jumbo frames. For multi-channel HD video and multi-terminal concurrent access, this switching capability is more comfortable.

The ONV-H53016PFDM provides 16 Gigabit PoE ports, with a switching capacity of 38Gbps, a forwarding rate of 28.27Mpps, 4K MAC, and 2M buffer memory, suitable for medium-scale full-Gigabit PoE access.

2. 30W PoE per Port, Covering Various Powered Devices

All PoE ports in the H53000 series support the IEEE 802.3af/at standard, with a maximum output power of 30W per port. The switch can automatically detect and identify standards-compliant powered devices and supply power over Ethernet cables without damaging non-PoE devices.

PoE management capabilities include:

u Querying of PoE port faults

u Remote on/off of each PoE port

u Display of port PoE operating status

u Visualized PoE power supply control via the ONV-NMS cloud platform and mobile APP.

For devices such as wireless APs, IP cameras, VoIP phones, and video intercoms, this integrated "data + power" access method can reduce independent power cabling and lower construction complexity.

3. Easy Managed: Lightweight but Practical Network Management

The H53000 series supports Web management, the ONV-NMS cloud management platform, and mobile APP O&M management. Management functions include:

u Loop protection

u DHCP Snooping

u Static port aggregation

u Port-based bidirectional data mirroring

u Real-time fault alarms and fault location

u Remote upgrade, remote reboot, and factory reset

u Port-based IEEE 802.1Q VLAN, supporting 4K VLANs

u IGMP Snooping v1/v2, supporting up to 256 multicast groups

u Broadcast storm control, port isolation, and port rate limiting

u Cable status check, Web management, and one-key recovery

u IP settings, account management, port traffic settings, and system information display;

u Diff-Serv QoS, priority marking/remark, 802.1p/DSCP priority mapping, and 8 output queues per port

In addition, the series supports RSTP (< 50ms) to enhance link redundancy and network reliability, reduce fiber splicing requirements, decrease the number of network nodes, and improve deployment efficiency. In the event of a unidirectional network failure, the switch can rapidly restore communication, ensuring uninterrupted transmission of critical data.

For projects that require VLAN partitioning, loop protection, QoS, and remote O&M but do not need complex Layer 3 management, the H53000 series provides a set of "sufficient and practical" management capabilities.

4. Hardware and Reliability Design

The H53000 series adopts a built-in power supply design with an input voltage of AC100-240V, 50/60Hz. Power consumption and power supply specifications vary by model:

u ONV-H53054PFDM/ONV-H53064PFDM: built-in 65W power supply, standby power consumption <5W, full load <65W;

u ONV-H53108PFDM: built-in 100W power supply;

u ONV-H53016PFDM/ONV-H53024PFDM: built-in 250W power supply, standby power consumption <15W, full load <250W.

In terms of physical specifications, the small models measure 200*130*40mm, while the 16-port and 24-port models measure 350*215*44mm, all supporting desktop and wall-mount installation. The operating temperature is -20°C to +55°C, storage temperature is -40°C to +80°C, and operating humidity is 5%–90% RH non-condensing.

In terms of protection and certification, the series supports 4KV 8/20us lightning protection, has an IP30 protection level, and is certified by CE, FCC, and RoHS. The products come with a 1-year warranty and lifelong maintenance.

5. Typical Application Scenarios

The H53000 series is suitable for scenarios with high requirements for both bandwidth and PoE power supply:

u Wi-Fi 6/6E wireless coverage: Provides Gigabit PoE access for high-bandwidth wireless APs

u Video conferencing and voice: Provides data and power for video conferencing terminals and VoIP phones

u HD video surveillance: Full Gigabit access for multiple HD IP cameras, avoiding 100M access becoming a video backhaul bottleneck

u Small-to-medium-sized campus and commercial networks: Uses SFP fiber ports for long-distance uplinks to build full-Gigabit PoE access networks

u High-density PoE deployment: 16-port and 24-port models are suitable for hotels, campuses, factory dormitories, and other places requiring centralized PoE power supply

Conclusion

The core advantages of the ONV-H53000 series are: full Gigabit access, 30W PoE per port, lightweight management, and cloud platform and mobile APP O&M. It is suitable for PoE projects that need to provide higher bandwidth on the access side while retaining VLAN, QoS, loop protection, and remote O&M capabilities. For scenarios such as HD surveillance, Wi-Fi 6 coverage, and video conferencing, the H53000 series provides a more scalable choice than 100M access.
